Your holiday destination near Merano

The town of Lana has 12,000 inhabitants and is situated in the idyllic Adige Valley near the city of Merano. Surrounded by orchards, castles and impressive mountain scenery, Lana is the ideal holiday location for those who love to get out and enjoy nature.
The bustling town centre offers everything the heart desires: shops, boutiques, restaurants as well as some highlights of art history, including the parish church with its famous late Gothic altar.
There are orchards all around, crossed by cycle paths and hiking trails. Various highlights, such as the wild and romantic Gola Canyon or the labyrinth garden Kränzelhof are waiting for you to discover them.

Lana is conveniently situated, especially for those who want to discover the whole of South Tyrol. It is only seven kilometres to Merano. With our new “Vinschgerbahn“ trains you can continue west and visit the Vinschgau Valley with its 3000m peaks, small villages, Waalweg paths and castles. The Passeier Valley also branches off from Merano and is ideal to be explored by bike.
The town of Lana is situated at the entrance to the Ulten Valley, one of the most rustic and traditional valleys in South Tyrol.

The provincial capital of Bolzano is just 20 kilometres away. Here you can stroll through the picturesque old town with its porticos, buy some goodies at the fruit and vegetable market and visit museums and churches.
