The most beautiful bathing lakes in South Tyrol
For those who like to spend their summer holiday in the coolness of the mountains, but without giving up the possibility of diving into clear and regenerating waters, there are wonderful bathing lakes in South Tyrol.
There are eight bathing lakes in the province of Bolzano, one more impressive than the other:
1- Small Montigglersee
The small Montigglersee is one of the most popular lakes in South Tyrol. The lake is characterized by a typical semi-circular shape with a diameter of about 300 m. and has a shoreline of about 890 m. The small Montiggler has a maximum depth of 15 m and is located in a completely wooded basin to the north-east of the large lake. The Touring Club Italia and Legambiente have classified this lake as one of the cleanest in Italy, recognizing the excellent quality of its water, the high level of tourist facilities and the gastronomic and receptive excellence that characterize it.
