Interesting sights

The most beautiful excursions in Merano, the surrounding area and even beyond

Merano

The spa town of Merano is situated just 7 km from Lana and is easily accessible by bus or train (bus stop around 200 m away). The most important sights of Merano are the Tappeiner path with its Mediterranean vegetation, the promenade along the river Passer, the old town with its arcades and last but not least Trauttmansdorff Castle with its botanical gardens.

Bolzano

Bolzano is the capital city of South Tyrol and is known for its old town with the beautiful town houses, the fruit and vegetable market, the arcades, the “Ötzi” museum and last but not least the stunning view of the Rosengarten mountain massif.

Lake Caldaro and South Tyrolean Wine Route

This idyllic wine region is always worth an excursion. The villages of Caldaro, Appiano e Termeno offer lots of sights and of course the most exquisite wines to taste.

The Dolomites

To the east of Bolzano rise the impressive Dolomites, which have been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The most well-known massifs are the peaks of Drei Zinnen, Rosengarten, Peitlerkofel and Geislerspitzen. A journey across the adventurous passes of the Dolomites is definitely worthwhile.

Lake Garda

Why not go on a day trip to Lake Garda? Strolling along the beach promenade, eating an ice-cream on the piazza and floating across the lake by boat can be very charming.

Verona

The city of Romeo and Juliet offers plenty for both shopping fans and those interested in culture. During summer, spectacular opera performances lure visitors into the antique arena. An exceptional culture trip!
